Is it just today or are things really getting better? We'll see tonight. Glancing through the lyrics for N.E.R.D.'s "Things Are Getting Better", it's pretty clear that Pharrell was not writing about a future spell of form for FC Barcelona, but he might well have been. This week has been a good week for the Blaugrana, building on a few other entirely awesome weeks which have featured: us destroying Real Madrid in El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu, two of our players being nominated for the Ballon d'Or, and most recently, Real Madrid being disqualified from the Copa del Rey.
I mean, it's like all my prayers are being answered after all.
But just as things seem to be getting better, another test rolls around in the form of a tough trip to the Mestalla, where we will go to war with managerless, but not really managerless, Valencia CF. Los Che haven't been setting the world alight this season, but they're a good side with a lot of talent, and on their day, they could take us to the limit. The only question is: is that day today?
We'll see tonight.
