Barcelona took an early lead over Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League thanks to a typically brilliant Lionel Messi goal. A throughball found the Messiah after he made a perfect run to get through on goal. He then side-stepped the goalkeeper and finished into an empty net.
