According to The Guardian, Barca boast a whole starting lineup worth of players on their distinguished list.
We all know Barcelona are a great club with some of the best players in the world. This is not breaking news of any kind. However, it's still fun to see the club and players you love continue to rack up the plaudits from the general public.
The Guardian released their annual Top 100 players in the world list today, a list that's voted on by a panel of 123 experts of the beautiful game. Such esteemed panelists include Brazilian legend Zico, Javier Zanetti, and Gheorghe Hagi. The list amazingly features the entire Barcelona preferred starting lineup.
Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi takes the very top spot as the world's best player. Let's just be frank, any list that doesn't feature him in the #1 spot should be deemed irrelevant immediately. He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named features behind Messi as usual. Two more Barca players follow in the third and fourth positions. Neymar edged out his fellow 'MSN' buddy Luis Suarez for third spot.
The legend Andres Iniesta is the next Blaugrana representative on the list coming in at No. 12 sandwiched between Juventus' Paul Pogba and Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
Those four being the top four Barca players on the list shouldn't come as any shock. The remaining seven players may be a little surprising though. Here's where all ten players are listed:
