FC Barcelona will not tolerate another biting incident by Luis Suárez.
According to multiple reports with knowledge of the situation, the Uruguay striker's contract with Barça will have indeed an "anti-bite clause". It's a conduct-based addition to his agreement, that states very clearly that another bite, or any conduct issue for that matter, will have harsh consequences for Luisito.
The clause gives Barça the right to suspend Suárez themselves if another incident like the one involving Italy's Giorgio Chiellini happens again. Luisito can also be fined €5 million, among other penalties.
Suárez has a lifetime record of conduct issues, including three player bites and an racism act against Manchester United's Patrice Evra. The last incident, with Chiellini, resulted in a nine-game suspension from the Uruguay national team, and a four-month ban from any football-related activity. Barcelona and its lawyers will appeal to the decision, but FIFA has confirmed it won't change it under any circumstances.
Even if Suárez gets out of his ban and plays for Barcelona right away, the fear of those issues happening again exists, no question. Barça will be tough on him. Will it be enough?
