The centre-back was injured on France duty
Barcelona confirmed on Monday that Samuel Umtiti is out with a bruised foot but did not say how long they expect the France international to be sidelined for.
The centre-back withdrew from the France squad over the weekend after picking up the problem and has now been assessed by the medical staff back at the Camp Nou.
“Tests carried out on Monday at the Ciutat Esportiva have shown that the Barça first team player Samuel Umtiti has a bruised foot and his recovery will dictate when he returns.”

Umtiti is no longer first choice at Barcelona but the club will hope he’s not out for too long as they have a busy schedule from now until the next international break in October.
The Spanish champions take on Valencia, Granada, Villarreal, Getafe and Sevilla in La Liga and face Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan in the Champions League.
