The Brazilian apparently wanted to reach a deal
Neymar was reportedly willing to drop his lawsuit against Barcelona if his former club guaranteed they would re-sign him.
The Brazilian is battling Barca in the courts over a €26 million loyalty bonus he believes he should have been paid by the Catalan giants.
Barcelona have reportedly paid €14m of the €40m owed but don’t much fancy handing over any more to the Brazil international.
Cadena SER are now reporting that Neymar was happy to let the matter drop provided Barcelona guaranteed to bring him back to the Camp Nou.
The 27-year-old wanted Barcelona to put something in writing promising they would re-sign him, but that was something the club simply could not do.
Both Barcelona and Neymar have been trying to come to a settlement to avoid going to court, but it looks like the matter will be settled by a judge.
