Can the champions get a first away win?

Barcelona are at Getafe on Saturday and will be hoping to end their travel sickness and pick up their first away win of the season.

Ernesto Valverde looks set to be without captain Lionel Messi again after he picked up a thigh strain against Villarreal, while Samuel Umtiti and Jordi Alba are also still out.

Let’s have a look at who could feature for the champions at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

Defence

Barca really need to win this game and face a Getafe team that have banged in seven goals in their last two La Liga games.

Valverde’s side are yet to keep a clean sheet in La Liga but will surely go with their strongest defence available for this match.

Nelson Semedo and Junior Firpo should continue as the two full-backs, unless Alba manages to return from injury, with Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglent in the middle.

Midfield

Arthur has starred for Barcelona this season and really needs to continue in midfield. The Brazilian has two goals already, including a real cracker last time out against Villarreal.

Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong are likely to make up the rest of the midfield, although Sergi Roberto and Arturo Vidal look like possible options.

Ivan Rakitic didn’t even make the squad for the game against Villarreal and seems out of favour, while Carles Alena is another midfielder struggling for game time.

Attack

There is no Messi for this one and Luis Suarez’s place in the starting XI is under real threat after a couple of awful performances.

Ousmane Dembele is fit again and pushing for a start, while Ansu Fati impressed off the bench against Villarreal and will also be hoping for more game time.

The only player who looks assured of a place in attack is Antoine Griezmann. The Frenchman is yet to find his best form for his new club but has still managed three goals and two assists in six La Liga outings.

Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Junior; Arthur, Busquets, De Jong; Dembele, Suarez, Griezmann.
