Barcelona unveils new home kit; ugly horizontal stripes are official

Sorry, fellas. There's no escaping the horizontal kits.

Nike and Barcelona have unveiled the club's new kit for the 2015/16 season, and it is... well... ugly. The historical vertical stripes are out, and the new home kit now has four maroon horizontal stripes, which Nike says resembles the famous flags that we generally see at Camp Nou.

Which would be a good excuse to change an entire history of kits, if these were actually good looking uniforms. But they're not. Not even close. Or am I crazy?

I mean, come on, man. The shorts, the stripes... there's nothing right about this. Nothing.

BUT, the away kit is fantastic. That one is great. Everything is right about that one: the shorts, the Senyera at the back, the shirt color... That's a good job of design.

But come on, Nike. You can't just destroy the tradition of the home kit like that.

If anyone is interested in buying this one, it goes on sale Tuesday, May 26th, on both Nike and Barça stores.

What do you think of the new kit?
