Rumors: Milinkovic-Savic, Fekir and Arthur latest

Barcelona turn to Milinkovic-Savic and Fekir

The rumor mill has slowed down in recent weeks probably because it’s too busy watching the World Cup but there’s still a few tasty reports out there today.

Mundo Deportivo seem to have been watching all the action from Russia because they reckon that Barcelona have turned their attentions to Serbia’s Sergei Milinkovic-Savic and France’s Nabil Fekir.

Milinkovic-Savic has been a regular in the gossip columns this summer already, and Barcelona like him because he’s versatile, scores goals and love to attack.

On the downside he’s likely to cost at least €80 million and is contracted to Lazio until 2022. He’s also wanted by a fair few other clubs so a transfer would not be easy.

So with that in mind Barcelona are also apparently considering Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir. Fekir has already come dangerously close to a move to Liverpool before a dodgy knee apparently scared the Reds off.

Yet Barcelona are still keen and like the playmaker who is a bit cheaper than Milinkovic-Savic at around €70 million.

There are still a few mutterings that a deal to take him to Anfield is not completely dead and Barca are said to be tempted by his pace, invention and goalscoring ability.

Arthur to arrive at Barcelona this summer

Over at Sport there’s an interesting report that Barcelona and Gremio have now reached a deal for Arthur to join in the summer.

The two clubs have met again to discuss a new agreement and the midfielder has “made it clear” he wants to move now.

Gremio want €30m up front and also an extra payment for bringing the deal forward which Barca don’t want to pay,

While we’d all love to see Arthur join in the summer it’s hard to know how much truth is in this report or if it’s just wishful thinking from Sport.

Gremio have repeatedly insisted the deal won’t happen this summer. “No chance” in fact were president Romildo Bolzan Jr’s exact words as the midfielder is so crucial to their hopes and cannot be replaced easily.

Unless Barcelona are willing to seriously up their offer it’s tough to see why Gremio would have a sudden change of heart and let him go now.
