Barcelona want to bring in four new players - report

Barcelona are reportedly set to discuss their transfer targets this week in the wake of Antoine Griezmann’s decision to snub a move to the Camp Nou.

According to Sport, Barcelona want to bring in Arthur this summer, another midfielder to replace Andres Iniesta, a centre-back (probably Clement Lenglet) and a forward to replace Paco Alcacer who is expected to leave.

They may find it tough to achieve all four signings particularly as Gremio have made it pretty clear they don’t want to let Arthur leave this summer.

The report reckons Philippe Coutinho will be used in a more attacking role next season making another midfielder even more important. A move for Miralem Pjanic has been touted but there are also rumors floating around that he will renew at Juventus.

Barcelona will apparently activate Lenglet’s release clause at the beginning of July and he will come in as competition for Gerard Pique and Yerry Mina. Lenglet had a good season with Sevilla, but if he arrives it’s bad news for Thomas Vermaelen or Yerry Mina.

As for Alcacer, Barcelona are searching for a player who can “unbalance defences, score goals and is available for a good price” which all sounds great but there’s no mention of targets.

Alcacer managed seven goals and three assists in all competitions for Barcelona last season but only made nine starts.

So which four players would you like to see Barcelona sign this summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
