The Brazilian would be going on his third loan in three years
Douglas Pereira, who is still a Barcelona player, could be loaned to FC Nantes this summer, according to French outlet Ouest France.
The Brazilian fullback has been failing to impress on loan at Benfica, and Barça don’t want him either, but he still has a contract until 2019 with the Catalans.
Barcelona are looking for someone to take on the 27-year-old, who has been part of the club since 2014. He arrived from Sao Paulo but failed to establish himself in any capacity at the Camp Nou in two seasons. He spent one season on loan at Sporting Gijón, where he was making regular appearances. However, he was struggling to get into the team consistently once he moved to Benfica.
Nantes finished 9th in Ligue 1 last season. We will see whether Douglas can get playing time there, although, it seems likely that he will not return to Barcelona in any case.
