Suarez steals the show at Anfield | Football Espana

Luis Suarez was the star of the show on his return to Anfield on Sunday to play in a charity match in aid of the Liverpool FC Foundation. The Barcelona star was introduced as a half-time substitute, along with another former Liverpool player Fernando Torres, and won the penalty that allowed Steven Gerrard to level from the penalty spot as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

The Brazilians came out on top thanks to a goal from striker Roberto Firmino who had come on as a substitute in the second half. Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez is being investigated by the Spanish tax authorities, according to La Vanguardia. The report claims the 35-year-old owes up to €4m in taxes connected to his image rights and money paid to his representatives by the club. The Barcelona legend is the latest in a long line of players to come under scrutiny for unpaid taxes in Spain, with teammate Lionel Messi the most high profile of them.

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin has said he is unsure if he would have made the grade if he had stayed at Barcelona and is pleased to have been given a chance by Arsene Wenger.
