FC Barcelona News: 16 March 2015; Martin Montoya Fractures Cheekbone, Barcelona B Drop Two Points Late

Barcelona have confirmed that defender Martin Montoya picked up a cheekbone fracture in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Eibar. However, the 23-year-old right-back is expected to return to full training within the next few days, although he will be forced to wear a protective mask to join in with the group sessions.

While FC Barcelona were able to win on the road at Eibar on Saturday afternoon, the Catalans' closest rivals in the Spanish First Division and their current opponents in the UEFA Champions League ended the weekend with mixed results in domestic-league action.

And the Portuguese looked less than amused as his low drive later in the first half was touched into the net by the former Spurs winger. Initially it had seemed to be Ronaldo's goal, but the stadium announcer gave it to Bale - and there were whistles from some members of the Bernabeu crowd.

For some reason, Ronaldo is becoming unbelievably precious these days. Even more self-absorbed than he is usually is when attempting to top up a tan. When Bale scored Madrid's opening goal from a rebound after Ronaldo's effort was blocked on the line, the Portuguese player looked like he had just discovered a fly in his soup mixed in with a full tub of table salt. He threw his arm in the air looking dramatically displeased.

The forward gave the hosts a deserved lead in the 48th minute and then substitute Amrabat came off the bench to score a delightful second, netting for the first time in 10 matches.
