It’s Champions League week! Following a hard-fought battle with Atlético Madrid in La Liga last Saturday, Barcelona have another tough trip ahead, this time in the European Cup: a meeting with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Barça need two points to win their group having already qualified to the knockout stage, and they’ll achieve that by either beating PSV or getting a draw as long as Inter Milan don’t win away to Tottenham Hotspur.
This could have been a big opportunity to rotate the squad, but with so many injuries at once Ernesto Valverde will have no choice but to start a very strong team. Maybe that’s good news, though: after the loss to Real Betis and the poor performance at the Wanda, playing well and winning with your best available team is just what the club needs right now.
PSV will be very tough to beat, especially at their home ground, but Barça must get the job done. No excuses.
