The defender was taken off against Atletico
Carles Puyol sent a message of support to Gerard Pique after the defender suffered a knee injury against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
The defender limped off and seemed visibly upset after being hurt in a challenge with Angel Correa on the hour mark.
Puyol took to Twitter to let his former team-mate know he’s thinking of him. He wrote: “Strength Gerard Pique. I hope it’s nothing.”

Barca have since confirmed Pique has a “right knee sprain” and will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the problem, while Sport have a worrying report that the club are concerned the defender may be out for 4-6 months.
