The problem may not be too serious
Barcelona lost Sergi Roberto and Gerard Pique to injury against Atletico, and there are also a few concerns about Ousmane Dembele’s fitness.
The Frenchman took a blow to the shoulder in the first half after a tangle with Yannick Carrasco but did manage to continue and play out the game.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca think Dembele has suffered a shoulder sprain, but there is no detail on how serious the injury is or if it means he will miss games.
Sport also bring word about Dembele’s injury and report the 23-year-old has suffered some discomfort but should be fit to train on Monday ahead of the trip to Dynamo Kiev.
Ronald Koeman certainly won’t want to lose any more players after seeing Roberto and Pique join Sergio Busquets, Samuel Umtiti, Ronald Araujo and Ansu Fati on the sidelines.
Busquets and Araujo are not expected to be fit in time for the Champions League match, but there is hope they could be back at the weekend for the visit of Osasuna.
