That was very, very good.

Barcelona returned to winning ways in La Liga in impressive fashion thanks to a dominant, well-deserved 4-0 victory over Osasuna at Camp Nou. Barça attacked from the start and were in control for the entire match, providing a lot of entertainment and some beautiful goals in the process.

FIRST HALF

Ronald Koeman started the game with a lot of attacking midfielders in odd positions and it was clear in the first 10 minutes that Barça’s offensive players were just looking to figure out what the heck was going on, trying to find spaces and not run into each other while at the same time attempting to produce creative and dangerous attacks.

After a disorganized start, they settled into a nice rhythm of passing and movement, and the chances started to come in waves. Antoine Griezmann, Lionel Messi and Martin Braithwaite were always looking for each other, and Jordi Alba was a constant overlapping threat throughout the half.

It took half an hour but the goals finally came: first it was Braithwaite who scored an awkward goal with his knee at the end of a beautiful move and an amazing double save by Herrera, then Griezmann scored a spectacular volley from the edge of the box to complete an excellent first half for him and give Barça a deserved two-goal lead.

At halftime the Blaugrana were playing well and winning comfortably, and they had a chance to make this a blowout in the second half.

SECOND HALF

Koeman brought on Sergio Busquets at halftime to add more structure to midfield and free the front four to roam around and both full-backs to join the attack, and Barça continued to apply pressure and create chances.

The goals kept coming: Philippe Coutinho made it 3-0 with a tap-in following a Griezmann assist, then Ousmane Dembélé had a goal disallowed by VAR for a Trincão offside in the buildup, but Messi made it 4-0 for real with a beautiful strike into the top corner and an amazing tribute to Diego Maradona in his celebration.

Nothing happened in the final minutes as Osasuna offered no threat and Barça just ran out the clock, and the final whistle came to give the Blaugrana three big points after an excellent team performance. This was seriously impressive and very entertaining. More of this, please.
