The champions want a Luis Suarez replacement
Barcelona are reportedly making progress in their move for Rodrigo. Jorge Mendes represents the Valencia player and the progress between the two parties has been impressive over the last week.
The deal seems to be narrowed down to a swap deal between Barcelona and Valencia. The last bits of the deal aren’t so much any money to be pushed back and forth, but instead the specifics around the right players to include in the deal as a whole.
The 28-year-old is a powerful, athletic striker that could help to fill the Luis Suarez-sized hole up front for Barcelona. Being able to snag Rodrigo in a winter transfer window would be a great bit of business for the club. They desperately need more depth for the stretch run, and Rodrigo seems like the man to do it.
