The striker has confirmed he almost made it to the Camp Nou
Reports were indicating that the deal was close, and now we can almost certainly say that Barcelona nearly signed Cedric Bakambu this week. The move would have likely been a loan deal with the option to buy, but after Barcelona canceled the deal at the last second, it looks like Bakambu will be staying put.

It’s not often enough that we, the online football blogger community, get this sort of content to attribute to the many reports we see about football transfers. Bakambu all but confirming the validity of the reports we were seeing online gives me hope that one day, Neymar will blow up on social media when Barcelona eventually tell him he’s never welcome back.
A blogger can hope.
