The youngster is expected to seal a late move
Barcelona look set to wave goodbye to another young player with reports claiming Abel Ruiz will join Portuguese side Sporting Braga before the close of the transfer window.
Mundo Deportivo report that Ruiz will travel to the club tomorrow ahead of joining in a €10 million deal, making him the club’s record signing.
Ruiz is expected to sign a five-year deal with the Portuguese side who are sixth in the Primeira Liga table.
Sport are also reporting Ruiz will fly out for a medical on Wednesday and reckon the deal includes a buy-back option.
Ruiz made one La Liga appearance for Barcelona last season but has not managed a single minute of first-team action in 2019-20.
He said in November that he’s always wanted to be at Barca but may have to look elsewhere for opportunities and appears to have decided his future lies away from the Camp Nou.
