The teenager will stay with Barcelona
Ansu Fati has not been included in the Spain squad for the Under-17 World Cup in Brazil and will stay with Barcelona instead.
The 16-year-old had been tipped for a call-up after making an impact in the first team at Barcelona this season while Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele were injured.
However, Barcelona were not too keen on losing their starlet for the duration of the tournament and will be relieved to see he’s not been called up.

There are, however, two Barcelona players in the squad. Juvenil A’s Jose Martinez and Ilaix Moriba have been given the nod and will now spend the next few weeks in Brazil.
The tournament kicks off on 26 October and runs until 17 November.
