Following a dominant La Liga win away to Eibar last weekend Barcelona are back on the road this time in the Champions League, with what promises to be a very difficult match against Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic.

Because Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan will face each other twice in a row in this group, it is imperative that Barça pick up maximum points from their two straight matchups with the Czech side, but it won’t be easy. Slavia aren’t nearly as weak as we all thought they’d be when the draw was made, and their two games so far showed a solid, physical, well organized team that made life extremely difficult for Inter and Dortmund.

The chance to play a team like Barcelona at home doesn’t come around often, so it’s safe to expect a crazy atmosphere at the Sinobo Stadium and a Slavia team that isn’t afraid to attack and will be hungry to get a big result against the mighty Barça. The Blaugrana need a fast start and must be precise with their passing out of the back against a good pressing team, and then it’s up to the talents up front to finish the job if the rest of the team works well.

This won’t be easy at all, but if the other game ends in a draw or a Inter win Barça could take a big step towards qualification. They must do their job, though. This should be fun.

POSSIBLE LINEUPS

Barcelona (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Semedo, Piqué, Lenglet, Alba; De Jong, Busquets, Arthur; Messi, Suárez, Griezmann

Slavia Prague (4-2-3-1): Kolar; Coufal, Kudela, Frydrych, Boril; Sevcik, Soucek; Masopust, Stanciu, Olayinka; Tecl

PREDICTION

This will not be easy and it might be decided late, but Barça will find a way to win: 2-0 to the good guys.
