Ernesto Valverde has called up 20 players for this European trip
The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana are in the capital of the Czech Republic for a key Champions League game against Slavia Prague, and Ernesto Valverde has called up the following 20 players* for the trip:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Neto, 26. Iñaki Peña
Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 3. Gerard Piqué, 6. Jean-Clair Todibo, 15. Clément Lenglet, 16. Moussa Wagué, 18. Jordi Alba, 24. Junior Firpo
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 8. Arthur, 21. Frenkie De Jong, 22. Arturo Vidal
Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Ousmane Dembélé, 17. Antoine Griezmann, 31. Ansu Fati
*Only 18 players can be in uniform so two of these 20 will be cut from the final matchday squad. The favorites: Iñaki Peña, Moussa Wagué
There are good and bad squad news ahead of Wednesday night: the good is that Piqué and Dembélé are back after serving suspension in La Liga at the weekend, but the bad is that Sergi Roberto (knee) and Samuel Umtiti (knee) are the latest to suffer injuries and will miss this one. Carles Aleñá and Carles Pérez didn’t make the trip per the manager’s decision.
