Lionel Messi sends goodbye message to Arturo Vidal

The midfielder is off to Inter

Arturo Vidal is is Milan ahead of completing a move from Barcelona to Italy but has been in Lionel Messi’s thoughts.

The Barcelona captain took to Instagram to say a warm goodbye to Vidal and wish him all the best in the latest chapter of what’s been an eventful career.

Te conocía sólo de enfrentarnos y siempre me pareciste un fenómeno, pero después tuve la suerte de conocerte en lo personal y me sorprendiste más todavía. Fueron dos años compartiendo muchas cosas y te hiciste notar mucho, el vestuario te va a extrañar, @kingarturo23oficial. Te deseo todo lo mejor en esta nueva etapa en tu nuevo club. “I only knew you from facing each other and you always seemed like a phenomenon to me, but then I was lucky enough to meet you personally and you surprised me even more. There were two years sharing many things and you made yourself noticed a lot, the dressing room will miss you. I wish you all the best in this new stage at your new club. We will cross paths again, for sure.”

Vidal heads back to Serie A after two years at Barcelona where he won La Liga with the Catalan giants. He now joins the Nerazzurri where he’ll play under Antonio Conte once again. The two previously worked together at Juventus before Vidal left for Bayern.

The 33-year-old has been a key member of the Barcelona squad, scoring eight times last season, but was into the final year of his contract and had openly admitted he would only stay if he was considered important and would play regularly.
