The phenom is officially a first team player
The Ansu Fati Era is upon us. The 17-year-old forward has officially been promoted to the Barcelona first team for the 2020-21 season, and given a new squad number: 22.
So if you were waiting to buy the new Barça shirt until you found out Ansu’s number, there you go. It definitely looks pretty cool on him.
Ansu Fati scored 8 goals in 33 appearances in his debut season and is certainly the most exciting prospect in the current Barcelona squad. Ronald Koeman seems to have a lot of trust in the youngster and he figures to have a big role all season on the left wing.
Ansu Fati’s number 22 shirt has been worn by a couple of club legends in Eric Abidal and Dani Alves, and although this probably won’t be Ansu’s number for the entirety of his Barça career, we certainly hope he can have instant success with that shirt.
