Vidal, Arthur or Malcom must go if Neymar arrives - report

A non-EU spot will have to be freed up

Neymar and Barcelona continue to make headlines in the summer transfer window, and the latest report has focused on how departures may be needed if the Brazilian arrives.

According to AS, Neymar would become the club’s fourth non-EU player if he signs for the club this summer which is bad news for Arturo Vidal, Malcom and Arthur.

The trio are also non-EU players at the club, and La Liga rules state that three is the maximum, meaning one will have to go.

The least likely option would be Arthur, who only arrived at the club last summer but enjoyed a strong first season and looks to have a big future ahead of him.

Malcom has only been at the club for one season too, but he has struggled for game time and has been regularly linked with a move away.

And then there’s 32-year-old Vidal. He endured a slow start to his Barcelona career after joining from Bayern Munich but had become a key part of the squad by the end of the campaign.

The Chilean has been linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer already, and an unnamed Chinese club is also rumored to have made a big offer for the midfielder.
