Barça will only accept him if the player humbles himself
Neymar wants to ask for forgiveness publicly, according to Diario SPORT. The Brazilian star left for Paris Saint-Germain in an acrimonious split, and he’s willing to say he’s wrong in public to force his move back to FC Barcelona.
According to the report, the forward has already told his former teammates in private that he made a mistake, but the Catalans think he has to make a public case in order to help force the move. PSG have been rumored to be willing to let him go, but so far only at an exorbitant price that Barça may not be willing to pay.
According to Mundo Deportivo, unless Neymar publicly asks for forgiveness, Barcelona will not sign him back. In fact, they have set three conditions for his return, per the report: asking for forgiveness, dropping his legal suit against Barça, and lowering his salary demands,
Many fans are upset at Neymar still for that 2017 breakup, and Barcelona reportedly think the player should apologize to the fanbase. In addition, they want the forward to drop his lawsuit against the club which alleges they owe him a bonus, valued at 26 million euro plus interest, from his time at the club. Finally, the player has been reportedly asked to lower his salary form the 36 million net he ears per year to the 22 million he used to earn at Barcelona.
