Andres Iniesta has warned Barcelona not to make a mistake over Sergio Busquets and says he is fundamental to the club.
There have been rumours recently that Busquets is after a big pay rise and has told Barcelona he has a list of clubs willing to sign him.
The problem seems to be that Barcelona simply don’t have too much cash left to give him the raise he’s after, but Iniesta says losing him would be a huge mistake.
“If [Busquets] doesn’t stay, it will be a huge mistake for what he means as a player. He has many years of football left and I believe that he is fundamental.
”I don’t know how things are personally, but it’s not good for the club to leave room for doubt.”

The initial rumours surrounding Busquets came as something of a surprise, but Iniesta’s comments suggest there may actually be something in it.
Let’s hope the club can do the right thing and do whatever is needed to keep the midfielder at Camp Nou.
