Atletico Madrid seem to be stepping up their attempts to keep hold of Antoine Griezmann after he netted a double in their Europa League win over Marseille on Wednesday.
The Frenchman didn’t want to talk about his future after the game but CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin did and his words seemed to be aimed directly at Barcelona.
“Griezmann must decide whether to be part of Atleti history or go to a club where he will never enter it.”

Atletico have twice expressed their frustration at Barcelona for their attempts to land Griezmann and there’s clearly a bit of bad feeling with the club desperate to hold onto their star man.
However, if Barcelona activate Griezmann’s release clause there will be little Atletico can do about it unless the Frenchman decides he does not want to leave.
