The last time Barcelona and Sevilla faced each other in a final, we saw one of the most incredible games in recent memory. Predicting what is going to happen in the Copa Del Rey Final this Sunday is crazy, but let's try anyway.
Back in August of last year, in the first game of the 2015/16 season, the two teams clashed for the UEFA Super Cup title, and the Catalan giants needed a last-second game-winner in overtime from departing forward Pedro Rodríguez to win that trophy in a 5-4 score after a completely insane match.
We are likely to see similar craziness this Sunday. The score is probably not going to be the same from August's masterpiece, but the intensity, emotion and excitement will certainly match or even surpass that night. After all, that was almost a friendly game. This one matters, very much, and for both teams.
Barça want to close out their season with a domestic double, and not winning the Cup will certainly be disappointing after such a great campaign and the league title last week. For the Sevillistas, they arrive at Vicente Calderón with an all-time high confidence after a sensational victory in the Europa League Final against Liverpool just four days ago.
