Two successive defeats against Real Madrid and Celta Vigo have been tough for FC Barcelona to endure, but by no means have they derailed our entire La Liga campaign. Indeed, in reacting to these losses, many Barça fans appear to have forgotten that there are 28 matches left to play in La Liga -- surely enough to overturn the current two point deficit that we're facing. Admittedly, the performances were troubling -- but they were no more troubling than some of our early wins were promising. If we can regain this form, the whole outlook changes -- and what better time to recapture that form than before yet another international break?
With La Liga set to take a fortnight off, Barcelona need to finish this section of the season strongly -- we simply cannot afford to enter the international break any more than two points behind Real Madrid, or whoever tops the table after Jornada 11.
Without the services of usual regulars Andres Iniesta and Jeremy Mathieu, Barcelona aren't quite at full-strength, but should still have more than enough talent at their disposal to break down the threat that Almeria pose and pick up the three points. Neymar is in incredible form; Lionel Messi might need a rest but is playing well too, while Luis Suarez will come good sooner or later. Why not this afternoon in Andalusia?
