Now back to the league: UD Almería-FC Barcelona | FC Barcelona

The two consecutive defeats against Real Madrid and Celta are now history. Victory over Ajax in midweek helped Barça to the knock out stages of this season’s Champions’ League and also helped to put an end to a week of negative results for Luis Enrique’s team. However, the blaugranes cannot rest on their laurels after the win in Holland – they need to repeat the trick against Almería to pick up another vital three points, this time in the league.

Goalless draw in Cordoba | Sky Sports Football

Cordoba, rock bottom without a win in their opening 11 matches, missed a penalty after 15 minutes and then utterly failed to capitalise on the 29th minute dismissal of Helder Postiga in a dismal performance. Everything seemed to go their way and yet they could not take advantage with a display of attacking futility which should leave little doubt they are clear favourites for relegation.
