Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has selected 22 players to travel to Cyprus for the important match against APOEL Nicosia. Before the game starts, he'll cut four guys to form the definitive 18-man lineup.
Following a gigantic win against Sevilla in La Liga, Barcelona have already moved on, as the squad took flight to Cyprus for a very important UEFA Champions League encounter with APOEL Nicosia in Round 5 of the European Cup's group stage. And coach Luis Enrique has already selected the squad for the trip.
With the boss, all 21 first-team players available plus a B-teamer went to the skies. There are only two absentees. One of them is Andrés Iniesta, who hasn't fully recovered from the calf injury he suffered almost a month ago, in the El Clásico loss to Real Madrid. Iniesta stayed home to complete treatment on the contusion, and he's expected to return quickly, but not on Tuesday. The other one, Thomas Vermaelen, is reportedly not injured, but is still working to get in match shape, and has also stayed in Barcelona.
A couple of hours before the match starts, Enrique will cut four guys and then form the definitive 18-player squad to face APOEL. These are the 22 men named by the coach:
