Rumor Round-Up: Pjanić, Rabiot, De Jong, Parejo, Mina

The midfielder search continues, and Yerry linked with United

Pjanić Pursuit

FC Barcelona continue their pursuit of Juventus’s Miralem Pjanić, and the latest rumor comes from Tancredi Palmeri. (You be the judge.) He says the player has told his club he’s on the way out, to either Barcelona or Manchester City. He also says no offer under €75 million will be considered.

Rabiot Request

PSG’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, is intent on keeping Adrien Rabiot, per Diario SPORT. Apparently, he is asking the midfielder to renew his contract, which is up next year, and does not want to transfer him. PSG is even willing to ostracize him for a year if he does not comply, leaving him on the bench for long periods. They’d lose him for free next year, though.

De Jong Decision + Possible Parejo

Diario AS says Barcelona continue to push for Frenkie De Jong. The Ajax midfielder has been under intense speculation of a possible transfer, but his club has so far rebuffed any advances. AS also says that Ernesto Valverde would be OK with the signing of Valencia stalwart Dani Parejo should the pursuit of De Jong fail.

Mina Moving to Manchester?

Radio Monte Carlo reports Manchester United have joined the race to sign Barcelona defender Yerry Mina. The tall Colombian impressed at the World Cup, scoring three goals, and some say Barca are prepared to cash in on the hype despite only having him for half a season. Everton had been linked with the player, and Lyon were said to have put in a €30 million bid for him. But now, Manchester United could be his destination.
