Barça’s third addition for the 2018/19 season, the 21-year-old Brazilian named Malcom, was presented in atypical fashion. Not only did it take place some 9,000 kilometers from Camp Nou, where new players are usually unveiled, but the rest of Malcom’s first day was also quite peculiar.

Malcom: ‘I know it’s a challenge, but this is a dream’ | FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona officially unveiled it’s newest player, the Brazilian Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira, on Thursday at Nike’s headquarters here, just outside of Portland. Minutes after the 21-year-old forward put pen to paper in a private signing ceremony with Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu, the two men joined Barça Vice President Jordi Mestre and Technical Secretary Éric Abidal.

After two days at the Nike HQ in Beaverton (Portland), the teams coached by Ernesto Valverde and Fran Sánchez arrived Thursday night in Los Angeles. The Californian city has been waiting with open arms for the arrival of the blaugrana party and some of its most famous buildings have been lit up in the Club’s colours and with the badge in readiness for FC Barcelona’s visit to the city.

Barcelona remain interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot but are aware it could prove difficult to sign the midfielder this summer, sources have told ESPN FC. Rabiot, 23, is into the final year of his contract with PSG but the Ligue 1 champions are reluctant to do business with Barca due to the strained relations between the two clubs following last year’s Neymar saga.

Jose Arnaiz has an agreement to join Leganes | Marca
Leganes are set to welcome Jose Arnaiz as their big summer signing, with the La Masia graduate having an agreement in place with the Madrid club and with Barcelona. A transfer of 50 percent of the player’s rights could be sealed for six million euros.

Barcelona regret controversy over separating men’s, women’s players on flight | ESPN
Barcelona expressed regrets over the decision to put the players on the men’s and women’s teams in different classes during their flight to the United States on Tuesday and said it will not happen again during the overseas tour. The club promoted the tour as the first time both sides would travel together, with the men’s team playing three games as part of the International Champions Cup and the women’s team competing in a pair of friendlies.
