The Brazilian star is said to be ready to commit his future to Barcelona
Amidst reports that Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid were interested in making mega-offers for Brazilian star Neymar, news is coming out that the forward will extend his contract with Barcelona, per a report in Mundo Deportivo.
It's questionable just how far this "interest" has ever gotten. Diario Sport reported that PSG were actually not willing to pay the required fee to bring Neymar over. But MD reported quite the opposite, that the interest was there and that Neymar had even ordered a pause to renovations to his house in Barcelona as he was prepared to move out.
Regardless, the fresh batch of rumors now tell us that FC Barcelona's top dealmakers, André Cury and Raül Sanllehí, are confident Neymar will sign the renewal sometime this week and announce it in July. However, the report notes that the two still don't consider it a done deal, and are working under assumption that other clubs pose a serious threat to keeping #11 at the Camp Nou for the next years to come.
Still, if PSG or another club were to make an offer, it would comfortably break the world record for highest transfer fee. Could that dissuade even a club as rich as PSG? Time will tell.
