Argentina has taken an early 1-0 lead over the USA thanks to Ezequiel Lavezzi. Although it was the winger who headed in the goal, it was all Lionel Messi who set it up. His chipped ball over the top completely fooled the American back line and put Lavezzi in all alone to beat Brad Guzan with a well-placed header.

Messi has his team well on the way to the Copa America final. If they can get there and win it, it would be his first major international title.
After years of heartbreak for Argentina, Messi is carrying his team on his back like he's done so many times in the past. However, this time it looks like he might be strong enough to finally get over the hill and claim the prize.
