La Liga News: 26 June 2016: Morata Issues Real Warning, Malaga Make Two Signings

The striker spent two years at Juventus and was brought back with his €30m clause, but the future remains uncertain. "I don’t have to prove anything to Zidane and Real Madrid," Morata told Cuatro. "I’m not a Castilla player who is getting the chance to train with Real Madrid. The club will decide if I am to stay or not, but if I do continue my adventure in Madrid, I’ll give my all to earn a starting spot."
"It is lie after lie," he said. "You can mess with me because I don't have anything to lose but about the team? It's impossible, genuinely annoying and sad. Most people have a great sympathy towards us but some don't. Do you know what a jointer is? It is a tool to remove rough edges which cabinet makers use, although there are some evils it cannot remove. Against the selection or anything else, when you want to talk badly about someone, you just keep rubbing away."
According to L’Équipe, Reims defender Aïssa Mandi is set to join Spanish outfit Real Betis next season. The two clubs are in advanced negotiations over a €4m agreement with a sell-on percentage clause. Mandi had an offer from Middlesbrough and St Étienne, but has elected to join La Liga after giving Betis his agreement in principle.
Javi Gracia’s Rubin Kazan are understood to be closing in on the signature of Villarreal attacker Samu Garcia. Samu played just 16 times in La Liga for Villarreal last season, and Marca reports he is on the verge of reuniting with Gracia, the 25-year-old having begun his professional career under the Coach at Malaga. The newspaper cites sources close to the deal, who claim negotiations are well under way and could be concluded in the next few days.
Roma are attempting to coax Thomas Vermaelen from Barcelona for around €10m. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi have set their sights on the Belgium international. The 30-year-old centre-back is wanted for his versatility, as Luciano Spalletti is considering a three-man defence next season.
Malaga have completed the signings of Keko and Jony on four-year contracts after the pair left Eibar and Sporting Gijon respectively. Transfermarkt reports Keko has joined for a fee of €3.7m from Eibar, while Jony arrives on a free transfer following the expiration of his Sporting contract.
