Luis Suárez officially called up by Uruguay national team

Two good chances to play before the Clásico.

Luis Suárez is starting to get some chances to play before his official debut for Barcelona. And there's more coming his way.

The Uruguay Football Association has announced on Thursday that Suárez has been called up by manager Óscar Tabárez for two friendlies next month, against Saudi Arabia, on October 10, and Oman, three days later. For Luisito, is a huge opportunity to play two competitive matches in three days to put him in the best shape possible. Remember, Suárez is set to debut against Real Madrid, in exactly one month.

Roberto Pastoriza, member of the UFA Executive Committee, commented on the announcement:

"We're extremely happy to be able to have Luis back, and we're certain he's eager to represent his country again.

We had some doubts in the interpretation of the final decision and the documents, but after talking to FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport, all questions were answered and we were able to call him up without any concerns."

Not only Suárez will get playing time, Uruguay will get money. According to some reports, the organizers of the friendlies were going to pay €100 thousand less if Luisito wasn't called up. Now that he's on the list, there's more money on the Celeste's pocket. Good for everybody.

I couldn't be happier about it. It's vital for Suárez to be in the best possible shape, and those two games will get him there. Sure, Saudi Arabia and Oman aren't top-class national teams, but who cares. Luisito is going to play, that's what matters to me. Go get'em, Biting Machine!
