Llevant UD v FC Barcelona: Five goal feast maintains 100% record | FC Barcelona

Barça continued to probe, with Neymar and Alba creating danger down the left. Neymar had already had three chances before just past the half hour mark he peeled off the last man, as Messi found him with a brilliant through ball. This time the Brazilian made no mistake, rounded the keeper and made it 1-0 as the Messi-Neymar partnership struck again.

5-0 win against Levante - five key points | FC Barcelona

In four wins in four games, Barça have not conceded a single goal. It’s the first time the club has ever survived so far in a season without letting in a goal, and equals Atlético Madrid’s record set back in 1991/92. Tonight, Claudio Bravo saved both of Levante’s two shots on target.

Luis Enrique: "A great game by the whole team" | FC Barcelona

Barça beat Levante to continue both their unbeaten record and keep yet another clean sheet, which Luis Enrique feels "goes to show even more our idea of playing as team … Rather than singling anyone out in particular, I’ll just say that I was happy with all of them."

Ivan Rakitic: "We're on the right track" | FC Barcelona

Ivan Rakitic was one of the standout players against Levante this evening, and scored a cracking goal from the edge of the area. "Thank God I’ve got my first goal at last" he said afterwards. "The lads were starting to tease me about it. But the most important thing is to help the team."

Neymar and Rakitic do physiotherapy | FC Barcelona

Neymar and Rakitic both did specific exercises on Monday morning after picking up minor injuries against Levante. The former is having trouble with his left ankle and the Croatian international has bruising on his left foot. The club doctors will be keeping an eye on their progress, and will decide when they are ready to re-join normal training sessions.

Leo Messi, the total footballer | FC Barcelona

Away to Levante he set up both Neymar and Sandro, while last Wednesday it was his free kick against APOEL that led to Piqué’s winning header. And before that he supplied the passes for both of Neymar’s goals against Bilbao, and in the previous game, against Villarreal, it was him who provided the ball for Sandro’s winner.

Seven different goalscorers in five games | FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona’s spectacular start to the season continued last night with a 5-0 thumping of Levante. That’s four wins out of four, and even better, it’s the first time Barça have ever started a season with four consecutive clean sheets. With eleven goals in the ‘for’ column and none against, the Catalans are two points ahead of Sevilla, who could be joined by Valencia on ten points if they beat Getafe this evening.

Post-match training as attention switches to Malaga | FC Barcelona

Barça were back at training this morning after the successful trip to Levante, but there is no time for celebrations, because there’s a midweek league match away to Malaga around the corner (10.00 PM CET). Luis Enrique was able to work with all of his available resources, and also added Munir, Sandro and Samper of Barça B to the mix. Although he has not yet been given medical clearance, Thomas Vermaelen also joined the group.

European rivals Ajax win 1-0 away | FC Barcelona

Frank de Boer’s Ajax Amsterdam have won away for the second time in a row, and this time it was 1-0 at Feyenoord, who are having a woeful start to their season and are now fourth from bottom in the table.

Match report from Villarreal v Rayo Vallecano | Sky Sports Football

Villarreal produced a blistering second-half performance to battle back from two goals down and take all three points at home to Rayo Vallecano. The Madrid side led 2-0 with under half an hour played thanks to goals by Gael Kakuta and Alberto Bueno but Javier Espinosa pulled one back for the hosts before the break and then Mateo Musacchio equalised.

Match report from Cordoba v Sevilla | Sky Sports Football

Carlos Bacca bagged a brace as Sevilla maintained pace with the Primera Division leaders after a 3-1 victory at Cordoba. Unai Emery's men were just too strong for the promoted side as Bacca struck early on and from the penalty spot at the death either side of Stephane Mbia's header.

Match report from Real Sociedad v Almeria | Sky Sports Football

The Andalusians took the lead somewhat fortuitously just after the half-hour mark when Alberto de la Bella inadvertently headed into his own net, and things got worse for the hosts when Mauro dos Santos headed home from a corner early in the second half.
