Those two teams are FC Barcelona and Juventus, who have proven to be defensive juggernauts in the season's opening month. Luis Enrique's men have been almost flawless through the first six matches (five in La Liga and one in the Champions League) and haven't seen an opponent score even one goal.

Enrique has leapt to the defence of the €88 million summer signing from Liverpool and says he is more than happy with his physical condition. "Suarez overweight? Not at all, that's just press talk. The controversial Barcelona forward is currently serving a four-month ban, plus nine competitive internationals, for the infamous World Cup incident where he bit Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini. However, he can play in friendlies after the Court of Arbitration for Sport removed a clause which banned him from "any football activity" during his four-month suspension.

Last season’s Round 36 game between Malaga and Elche could be investigated for alleged match-fixing, according to reports in Spain. Both AS and Marca claim there is suspicion around the fixture, which ended in a 1-0 away win for Elche and helped the victors avoid relegation. Malaga were essentially safe on 41 points prior to the match while Elche’s victory took them to 39 with two games to play.
