It looks like Dani Alves' tenure as a Barcelona player is over. For real this time.
According to a report from Diario Sport, Alves will meet with Barça's sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta and team coach Luis Enrique next week to make his exit official. Lucho has it clear in his mind that he doesn't count on Alves to be part of his plans. Instead, Enrique really wants to sign Colombia star Juan Cuadrado to replace the 31-year-old Brazilian.
Dani hasn't received any good offers since the rumors of his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain fell out. His contract with Barcelona ends on June 30th of next year, and the club wants to get profit from him. If they can't sell him right now, he walks away for nothing as a free agent next summer.
Again, this is from Sport, so take it with a grain of salt. Alves said he wants to stay until the end of his contract. Lucho doesn't, though, according to the rumor.
