FC Barcelona News: 12 August 2014; Marc-Andre ter Stegen Suffers Back Injury, Jeremy Mathieu Medically Cleared

After tests this morninng at the Club, the FC Barcelona Medical Services have confirmed the back injury suffered in trainnig on Monday by Marc-André ter Stegen. Ter Stegen will be given specific recovery work over the next few training sessions.


Jérémy Mathieu gets medical OK | FC Barcelona

Jérémy Mathieu was given the medical OK to resume normal training this morning after a week or so working with the other injured players following a slight hamstring twinge last week. The Frenchman missed last week’s friendlies against Napoli and Helsinki after making his debut in the match against Nice and is now once again available for Luis Enrique as he prepares for next Monday’s Gamper.

This Monday, Andrés Iniesta has attended an event organised by brewer Estrella Damm at the Barcelona Swimming Club, where he also gave a press conference. Asked about how things are going under Luis Enrique, he replied that "nothing has changed, just that it’s a different coach with new ideas. It’s a matter of adapting and doing what the coach thinks is best to get the team to work".
