The Brazilian is expected to join Barca in the summer
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made a bid of €15 million for Real Betis full-back Emerson who is expected to move to Barcelona in the summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the French champions are keen on the Brazilian but the offer is unlikely to tempt Barca into a sale.
The current thinking is that Emerson will instead link up with Barcelona for pre-season training unless the Catalan giants receive a big offer for the 22-year-old.
It might well have to be a substantial fee too as it will be split between Barcelona and Betis which means a summer sale looks unlikely.
Emerson has featured regularly for Betis in 2020-21, making 29 La Liga appearances and contributing four assists. Betis are currently in sixth with five games to go.
If Emerson does arrive at Barcelona then he will rival Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto for the right-back slot.
There’s a bit of speculation about Roberto’s future around too currently. The 29-year-old is out of contract in 2022 and is reportedly not convinced about the one-year renewal that’s on offer.
