Barça play their biggest match of the season tonight, and this is one you just cannot miss.
Welcome to the biggest match of the La Liga season for Barcelona. The Catalan giants have made a historic start to the league campaign, but this could be the game that defines their season and proves whether or not they are real title contenders.
The Blaugrana travel to the Mestalla, one of the toughest stadiums in Europe, to face Valencia in the most anticipated match of the season so far. The Bats have enjoyed a revolution under new manager Marcelino García Toral, who made them a powerhouse in Spain once again.
Valencia are in second place at the moment, four points behind Barça but have clearly played much better football than the league leaders, who are still struggling to play their best stuff under Ernesto Valverde. There are many injury problems and the club’s record signing is not available until January, so defensive solidity and the brilliance of Lionel Messi have been the biggest keys for Barça’s success. If they beat Valencia despite all the problems and criticism, then there’s really not a lot left to complain about when it comes to this version of Barça.
