It’s a tough test away from home for the league leaders, and you must watch it
The international break is FINALLY over, and the best team in the world is back in action. Barcelona travel to Madrid for what a promises to be a very tough La Liga match against Leganés, and this is one you can’t miss.
On paper, this doesn’t sound like a really tough game: Leganés are in 9th place in the league table and have scored just 9 goals in their first 11 games, and they’re also on a two-game losing streak coming into today’s match. But Leganés are one of the top home teams in the league, and their defense is very difficult to break down.
This could also be extra tough given Barça have a crucial Champions League trip to Juventus on Wednesday, and there is no doubt the players will be thinking about at least a little bit. Even though Ernesto Valverde will select his strongest possible team to face Leganés, they might not be 100% focused and that could make things very difficult for the Blaugrana.
But Barça have Lionel Messi, and when you have Lionel Messi you can win any game. Barça also have Luis Suárez looking to end a long goal drought, and they also have Paco Alcácer who scored two goals in the last match and will come into this one full of confidence.
This will be tough, but Barça can definitely win it and they’ll extend the best start in the history of La Liga with three more points. Please don’t miss it.
