The midfielder has “recovered”
Philippe Coutinho has been declared match fit today as he is with the Brazilian national team. The player hasn’t taken part in any of Liverpool’s opening matches due to a back injury, although it is widely assumed it’s an excuse to more or less go on strike to try to force a move to Barcelona.
Seeing as the transfer window closes before players travel back from their national teams, it makes no sense for Coutinho to continue faking injury (assume he was faking.) He will either be with Barcelona, or stuck with Liverpool. In either case a fake injury wouldn’t help him.
Reports are swirling that Coutinho is in South America with the intention of not coming back to England and completing his move. Barcelona are thought to be offering a king’s ransom for the player to leave the Reds, who have declared him nontransferable.
