The fullback will not leave during the winter transfer window
It seems that FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique and sporting director Robert Fernández have changed their minds.
After a string of good performances, Aleix Vidal has earned his place in the Barcelona squad.
That’s been confirmed by Robert himself, at the Mundo Deportivo Gala: “Aleix Vidal stays.”
The player was under pressure after starting the season off poorly, and was frequently dropped by Luis Enrique.
Barelona even had a replacement lined up if they pulled the trigger on Vidal leaving: Darijo Srna.
But Vidal fought for his place, and Luis Enrique has rewarded him with more regular time lately. Robert said that the club was “very happy” because the player had “changed” throughout the season.
