Will Barcelona do any business on Transfer Deadline Day?

The transfer window cloes on Wednesday. Does Barça need anyone else?

The craziest day of any transfer window certainly is Deadline Day. When we're in the summer window, then it gets insane. Every team on the planet (actually, just Europe) is trying to get their business done before the clock hits midnight and it's September 1st, and unless teams want to be like Real Madrid and lose David De Gea because they couldn't register in time, they need to get things done quickly.

But it looks like Barcelona will not take part of the madness of Deadline Day. After completing the signing of Paco Alcácer on Tuesday, the Catalan giants have officially closed their business. No one else comes in, and Robert Fernández and his team can have a little office party while watching the rest of Europe punch each other's faces to get their deals done.

This has certainly been a spectacular transfer window. Not only did Barça make five fantastic signings, they got rid of the dead weight: players who weren't important and just chilled on the bench while taking money are all gone, and only the real key pieces of the squad are there today.

A few important players were sold or loaned as well, but Luis Enrique is now satisfied with what he's got, and no one will leave. Unless Rafinha Alcântara decides to ask to leave on loan, something he hinted at during a radio interview on Tuesday:

Rafinha might not be as key as before with André Gomes and Denis Suarez joining and jumping ahead of the young Brazilian in Lucho's pecking order. Rafinha is a great talent, and that talent might be wasted if he spends too much time on the bench.

IF Rafinha leaves — and that's a big if, given Lucho loves him and would be pissed if he left —, that will be the only Deadline Day business from Barça. No one comes in, no one goes out.
