Considering how little Getafe actually got across the halfway line Bravo was actually quite busy. He had to make a few good saves, none better than the one early in the game when he was beaten by a chip shot, but recovered in time to clear the ball away before it crossed the line. There was another time when a shot got past him, in the second half, but that time he was saved by the post. Throughout the game Bravo was calming presence at the back and helped start attacking plays with a good passing day. |

Not one of Alves’ best games of the season, but against Getafe it was more than enough. He started of brightly, taking two shots in the early minutes, but neither found the back of the net. But as the game went on Alves started to lose steam, making a couple poor defensive plays that could’ve cost Barcelona. Was subbed off quickly thereafter to get some much needed rest before the final stretch. |

Another excellent performance by Barcelona’s youngest half-back. While he did initially lose Fredy Hinestroza for the early chance, Bartra went on to have a whale of a game which he almost capped off with a goal, but his header ended up being saved. Out of the several defensive plays he made, the best of the bunch came midway through the second half when he did very well to get in the way of Fredy’s shot, redirecting it just enough for it not to cross the line. |

After a couple of games in which he didn’t start, Mathieu was back in the starting eleven, but some rust was evident. At times he strayed out of position, something a team of a better quality would’ve made Barcelona pay dearly for. He also lost the ball on a couple of plays where he really shouldn’t have had. But it wasn’t all bad as he also made numerous very important interventions that helped Barcelona keep another clean sheet. |

Adriano also made several good looking defensive plays, highlighted by a play at the stroke of halftime when he showed his speed to track back and easily steal the ball away from Babá. |

A performance that would have you believe Xavi is 25 not 35. He was at his absolute best, dictating play from midfield, finding players with eye of the needle passes and even getting on the scoresheet with a beautifully placed finish. Collecting the ball from Neymar on the edge of the area, he wrapped his foot around it and it left the keeper with no chance. Next he turned provider as his clever flick on the edge of the area found Suárez, who in turn found the net. Great performance and a 96.7% pass accuracy on top. |

Sergi Roberto's recent transition to 'back-up pivote' continued on Tuesday, as the Catalan midfielder replaced Sergio Busquets at half-time with the three points already in the bag. As such, there wasn't much we could draw from Roberto's performance; he was supremely accurate with his passing, stepped in defensively to make a difference where he could -- all against an opposition that had quite understandably given up. Maybe a start against Cordoba would help us decide whether he still has a future at the club. |

Six goals scored on the night, and not a single one of them by Pedro -- that pretty much summarises his season for the Blaugrana, at least since the introduction of Luis Suarez in October. While Pedro is waiting for his first goal since early February, it's perhaps the nature of his performances that worry me the most as he constantly operates on the periphery of the game, rarely even getting close to a sight of goal. Maybe I'm being harsh though, it's not like we needed him to step up and deliver, is it? |

The Catalan full-back was probably introduced to give Dani Alves a rousing ovation on the same day that he moved a step closer to extending his stay in Catalunya; and if anything, Montoya gave the crowd all the more reason to applaud Alves for this reported decision. I know the game was over, but Montoya struggled on the right-flank, giving away a couple of fouls against a sub-standard opposition in his brief time on the field. Let's hope we see better next time. |

An easy decision; this was arguably Barcelona's most emphatic performance of the Luis Enrique era, although in terms of the difficulty of the win, I'd still rank this behind our 3-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in January. There were many candidates for the Man of the Match award but two separated themselves from the pack. One was the eventual winner, Messi, who picked up exactly half of the votes. The second was Suarez with 34%. Rounding out the top three was the evergreen Xavi with 13% of the votes. |
